TORI GREISING
Tori came to yoga as a source of healing, during a profound life transition in her early twenties. Growing up as an athlete and gymnast, she found the asanas familiar and challenging. But very quickly, yoga become something more. She knew early in her yoga journey that she would become a teacher. She started leading community classes out of her apartment in Washington, DC while completing her MFA at American University. Those classes paired nicely with community potlucks and she began to see the amazing potential of bringing people together through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching have led to travels in Bali, leading a retreat in Nicaragua, dancing with Shiva Rea, and sitting in deep self study.
Tori teaches an inspired, strong, and breath based flow. Initially drawn to alignment & heart opening flows, she weaves these fundamental elements into Prana Vinyasa inspired sequences. She infuses her practice with music, simple wisdom, and creative energy. She brings her genuine spirit to each practice and promises a unique flow every time you join her on the mat!
Tori started practicing yoga in 2007 and teaching in 2009. She completed Flow Yoga Center’s (Washington, DC) teacher training in 2011. She completed her 500hr Prana Vinyasa Certification with Shiva Rea, Jessica Lazar and Greg Marzullo, in 2014. She is a midwest girl at heart (Indianapolis born and raised), lived for a while on the east coast and is now setting up shop with her beloved John and pup Scout in PDX!
