Alyssa Franks
Alyssa Franks, E-RYT 200, YACEP:
Alyssa is a well-versed and dedicated yoga teacher and student. Having practiced asana on and off throughout adolescence and early adulthood, she rooted into her daily practice beginning in 2018, at the same time as she became an avid student of yogic and Buddhist schools of thought. Her classes are designed with heart and intention to be optimally therapeutic for body and mind. Her classes are creative and logical, woven together around a central teaching rooted in yoga philosophy. She encourages self-inquiry, self-compassion, and freedom of choice. She is known for her soothing voice, warmth, and humor.
Alyssa has a broad base of knowledge and experience including expertise in Vinyasa, Flow, Mobility and Myofascial Release, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Laughter Yoga. She is also a certified Alexander Technique teacher. Alyssa is a graduate student at Naropa University working toward her degree in mindfulness-based mental health counseling. Her classes reflect her intention to integrate yoga into mental health care.
Alyssa also teaches aspiring teachers, assistant teaching the Yoga Teacher Trainings at The Grinning Yogi as well as offering continuing education workshops.
