What’s your superpower?
Organizing…I’m all about making things neat, tidy and streamlined. I’m also a pretty good listener.
How do you express gratitude?
I love to give gifts, little mementos to make the people I love feel special.
What’s your favorite pose? Why?
I love love love “legs up the wall” pose. It’s a gentle inversion, really relaxing, and the perfect pose after a stressful day.
Why do you share yoga?
Okay, it’s a little cliche but I’m just going to say it – yoga changed my life. It was one of the first times I felt a sense of strength, appreciation for my body, and connection to it. I love to share yoga with people because a lot of times people feel really disconnected from themselves for a lot of reasons and yoga is really sweet, kind way to begin to reconnect.
When was the last time you laughed out loud?
Watching my 17-month-old niece dance, shake her little diapered-booty. She’s got rhythm!
What always makes you smile?
Ladybugs. They’re so adorable. They were briefly crawling in through a crack in the window seal at my place and I have to say I was a bit conflicted, it was kind of an infestation, but gosh they’re cute!
What does flow mean to you?
Connection. Breath, body and mind synchronized. For me, it’s a moving meditation.
What can our TGY friends expect from your class?
I tend toward simplicity and balance, but simple doesn’t necessarily mean easy! My hope is that you’ll leave class having had a great workout, and an opportunity to spend some time in meditation and mindful presence.
