Piper Carafa-Olson

Piper creates a welcoming environment in which we are each invited to tap into our compassion, courage, and resilience — on and off the mat. She is passionate about joy, learning through nature’s rhythms, our collective and individual well being, and the integrative tools of yoga that can bring more ease and freedom into our daily lives.

In her classes, Piper holds a steady and encouraging presence that honors the innate wisdom and creativity of our bodies. She sees the practice as one of being in process and utilizes yoga philosophy, self-inquiry, and breath to usher students towards a greater intimacy with themselves. Her classes are a fluid mix of active and restful energy as she embraces play and lightheartedness as much as she does quiet reflection and nourishing rest.

Alongside teaching vinyasa yoga, Piper has worked in yoga for eating disorder treatment and is a certified yoga for 12 step (Y12SR) facilitator. She has many hours of trauma informed yoga under her belt and believes wholeheartedly in the healing capacities of these somatic practices and philosophy.

Piper is currently a student at the University of Washington where she is preparing for a graduate program in mental health counseling. She loves to be outside surrounded by land, trees, and sea, or swaying to music somewhere, or cooking with friends, or meandering through the city on long walks with her partner and their dog.
